Guilford Funeral Home, as it is known today, was opened by George F. Sullivan, Jr. in 1960. For over thirty-five years George Jr. ran the family business with his father George F. Sullivan, Sr. by his side. Together they prided themselves on treating every family they served as if they were part of their own family. Key elements to this accomplishment were to give each family the feeling of being their guests and as if they were their one and only funeral.
Throughout the years the funeral home facility has seen many changes, which have enabled us to better serve the shoreline area with the same level of commitment to personal service. George F. Sullivan, III joined our staff as a licensed funeral director in 1998. He has been instrumental in the transition of our past attributes into today's everyday business operation. While maintaining our traditional core values and today's business attitudes the Sullivan family has merged the two to help us better serve our greater Guilford community.
Today, amidst all of the large funeral home conglomerates, we remain a family owned and operated funeral home. When you call or visit our home, you will always find a member of the Sullivan family. Our funeral directors will help you create a funeral ceremony that is meaningful and fully affordable for you and your family. Whether burial and/or cremation service, our staff can take care of all arrangements, relieving you of all unnecessary burdens.
We'll always be here to help.
